Terms of Service (EULA) for CineMatch: Movie Nights

1. Acceptance of Terms & User Safety

By downloading, accessing, or using CineMatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

CineMatch has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Users must follow the reporting and blocking rules in the app to help keep the community safe.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

2. Eligibility (18+ Only)

CineMatch is intended strictly for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

By creating an account or using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete accounts found to belong to individuals under 18.

3. Description of Service

CineMatch is a cinema logistics and event coordination utility that enables users to:

• Create profiles based on cinematic tastes and movie preferences
• Discover local showtimes and theater listings
• Connect with fellow film enthusiasts to form viewing "Crews"
• Exchange private messages to organize logistics
• Coordinate group movie nights and theater attendance

CineMatch does not conduct background checks and does not verify the identity, intentions, or behavior of users.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information, maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

5. User Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

You agree not to post, upload, or send any content that is illegal, fraudulent, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, violent, or sexually explicit.

Prohibited behavior includes (but is not limited to):

• Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or stalking other users
• Sending unsolicited explicit content or nudity
• Engaging in hate speech or discrimination
• Impersonating another person
• Engaging in fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
• Soliciting money or financial information from other users
• Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App

We may remove content and restrict or permanently terminate accounts at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms.

6. User-Generated Content & Moderation

CineMatch maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content, including harassment, hate speech, explicit content, and illegal activity.

You are solely responsible for content you upload, post, or transmit within CineMatch, including profile information, photos, and messages in Crew chats.

By submitting content, you grant CineMatch a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit that content within the App.

We use automated tools and manual review to moderate user content. Users may report profiles, Crews, or messages directly within the app. Reported content is reviewed by our moderation team, and appropriate action, including content removal or account termination, will be taken.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.

7. Reporting, Blocking & Moderation

Users can report profiles and messages for abusive or inappropriate behavior, and users can block other users to immediately prevent further interaction.

We review reports and take appropriate action, including warnings, content removal, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. We aim to take action within 24 hours of receiving a report.

8. Theater Outings & Safety Disclaimer

CineMatch is an event coordination platform. We are not responsible for the actions, conduct, or behavior of users, whether online or offline.

If users choose to meet in person at a movie theater or related venue, they do so at their own risk. We strongly encourage users to exercise caution, meet in public places, and inform a trusted friend or family member of their plans.

CineMatch is not liable for personal injury, disputes, damages, or losses resulting from user interactions or theater visits.

9. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

CineMatch may offer optional in-app purchases (such as event boosts) or subscription-based features.

All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We do not store payment card information.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided except as required by applicable law or Apple's policies.

10. Intellectual Property

All branding, software, design elements, and proprietary materials within CineMatch are owned by the developer. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

11. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App. We are not responsible for service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding safety, reliability, availability, or suitability for any purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CineMatch shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or revenue
• Personal disputes between users
• Injuries or incidents resulting from group outings or theater meetings

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CineMatch and its developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or harmful behavior. You may discontinue use of the App at any time.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes when required by law. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
